Chris is following in the footsteps of a number of famous faces including Harry Styles, who delighted viewers in May, as well as heartthrobs Tom Hardy and Captain America star Chris Evans, who have both made appearances.
The Australian actor will debut, telling the story of a little bear who is frightened of the rain and thunder.
He'll read ‘Stormy Night’ by Salina Yoon, at 6.50pm this Friday, July 8.
Chris said: “I love nothing more than reading bedtime stories to my children and it was a joy to get to read Stormy Night, a story about a little bear who is scared of storms. Even though I know a thing or two about thunder and lightning, I always feel better when the storm passes.”
CBeebies Bedtime Story is on daily at 6.50pm and on BBC iPlayer. Some of the episodes are filmed at Salford 's MediaCityUK.
