I’ve spent the last week using the Beyerdynamic DT 270 Pro studio headphones for everything from detailed listening to guitar practice. And after some very focused listening, I’m very much impressed... and I didn't think I would be saying that.
For someone like me who likes to be able to hear the finer details in music, they're an absolute dream. And on top of that, they have a compact design, so I can store them easily and take them with me anywhere to still have access to professional sound.

I've been a guitarist since I was six years old, and that's inspired me to constantly look out for the best ways to listen to and play my music.
When I was younger, playing with my guitar plugged into my Fender amplifier, I thought I was getting the best sound I could, but in reality, a lot of the detail was getting lost. Then I discovered studio headphones, and that changed the game.

Because there’s nothing added to the sound profile of these headphones, I’m able to hear the specific tones and differences in each of my four guitars. Playing with them on has been so much fun and reminds me of how beautiful the nuances between notes can sound when listened to in extreme detail.
Get to know your favorite songs
If you're used to using budget closed-back headphones, studio headphones will have your mind reeling more intensely than the Conformity Gate theories. I've often asked myself, ‘Could I hear that breath before?’, or ‘Since when did this song have a bassline there?’ It's those types of details that are so easily missed.
My favorite genre to listen to with these has to be synth pop. I’ve been really enjoying this genre recently, with music from the likes of Djo and Charli xcx’s Chains of Love, but these headphones let me listen to these tracks in a whole new way.
Every audiophile needs a pair of studio headphones to fully appreciate the layers of their music, and the Beyerdynamic DT 270 Pros are an excellent entry option.
