I was doing some shopping around Lidl the other day and spotted something that got me very excited - an Orange Twirl yogurt.
I have been obsessed with Cadbury's Orange Twirl chocolate bars since they were first released back in 2019. It is easily my favourite chocolate at the moment, and I know many others who would agree. Even my Easter egg this year was an Orange Twirl.
So I couldn't believe my eyes when I spotted a pot of Orange Twirl yogurt - or as it is labelled on the packaging "Cadbury's milk chocolate dessert". I didn't hold back - I bought four pots straight away.

I was so excited by this delicious treat that I even posted an image of it on social media to see if others shared my love for Orange Twirl. There was plenty of reaction and hundreds of comments.
One person wrote: "Ohhh I need this in my belly" while another woman wrote: "Might have to go to Lidl this weekend". Another person said: "I need to find these".
So there was only one thing left to do - actually try the chocolate pot out for myself. But it wasn't what I expected.
First of all, there weren't that many pieces of Twirl included. I highly doubt if you put all the pieces together it would make up one Twirl finger. But maybe I'm a bit greedy.
Secondly, the small pieces are a bit different to a real Twirl. They definitely tasted the same but the texture wasn't as crumbly.
Finally, because the yogurt itself was "milk chocolate" and not orange chocolate, when you mixed the Twirl pieces in with the yogurt, you totally lost the orange flavour. Now don't get me wrong - Cadbury's milk chocolate is always delicious, but I was expecting a bit of orange so was a little disappointed.
This is of course still a lovely chocolate treat, and if you don't have a desire for a strong orange flavour then you'll be pretty happy. I'll probably be sticking to the bars of chocolate in future (apart from the remaining three yogurt pots in my fridge - they obviously won't go completely to waste).
