With Easter comes a lot of food and plenty of chocolate, which is why you need to wear something comfy.
Don't get me wrong, I love wearing PJ's and loungewear, but sometimes it's nice to get dressed up for a nice family meal. It can be really hard to find a comfortable dress that looks 'dressy' for such an occasion, but I think I've found the one.
I haven't shopped in New Look for a good few years, but I was absolutely stunned with their spring/summer collection of pretty midi dresses and colourful prints. Sometimes it's tough to find a dress that doesn't break the bank, and don't even get me started on it being comfortable.

So many times I've felt self conscious in tight dresses, so I often opt for a midi variety that's fairly loose and not clingy. After browsing in New Look, I stumbled across a bright and beautiful spotty black dress that I knew I needed to get my hands on.
I was unsure whether the length would be right, considering I'm only 5'3 I didn't want the dress to absolutely drown me. I went for my usual size (12) which is often a big risk with some shops, as sizes really can vary.
The fit of the dress was basically perfect. I was conscious that it would be tight around my hips but it flowed nicely and wasn't too tight at all.
Sizing of dresses is something that I always struggle with, so I was over the moon that this New Look dress was true to size. The one thing that really stood out to me about this dress was the colours, the spot print was really vibrant and summery but not too garish at all, in my opinion.
It had a tie front with a split hem and a midi length, with a fit and flare design. The puff sleeves added a bit of extra glamour to the already gorgeous dress, and I'm a sucker for puffed sleeves.
This dress can be casual or formal, it can be paired with white trainers and a denim jacket or some cute pastel heels depending on the event. It's effortlessly chic and it made me feel really confident.
For ladies with bigger hips like myself, I felt like it really flattered my shape. I'm already on the hunt for my next summery midi dress from New Look, because this one's a winner.
