'I tried Dublin's top-rated pizza spot - and it was definitely worth the visit'

The answer to "Where has the best pizza in Dublin?" will be different depending on who you ask.

One person will tell you it's Sano, while another will say Pi and another will say DiFontaines.

But according to TripAdvisor, the best spot for pizza in Dublin on Wexford Street.

The Jar serves up freshly prepared Liberty Lane Pizza everyday until 10pm, as well as great cocktails and other drinks.

So, putting its TripAdvisor rating to the test was a welcome task, one that involved a nice dose of spice, rich flavour and a cocktail to round off the experience.

The menu consists of pizzas straight out of the 800°c wood-fired oven, including the classic Margherita, Diavolo, Prosciutto and Pepperoni.

Being a fan of spice myself, it had to be the Diavolo for me, which turned out to be a delicious pizza pie fior di latte mozzarella, pepperoni, red chilli peppers, Grana Padano parmesan and fresh basil, a combination that makes for one enjoyable dinner.

Pairing that with the fruitiness of a Pornstar Martini was a good shout, ideal for when my mouth needed something to combat the spice.

Other cocktails available include a French Martini, Espresso Martini and Rye Old Fashioned.

Regardless of whether you think it's the best pizza in town or not, lovers of the classic Italian dish will want to know about this place for one reason in particular.

From Sundays to Thursdays, you can avail of bottomless pizza. Like the name would suggest, this involves all you can eat pizza.

For €16 per person, you can get unlimited pizza along with a glass of wine or a beer.

Does it serve the best pizza in Dublin? It is definitely a fair contender, but whether or not it's the very best truly depends on your preferences.

If you're a true pizza fan, it definitely needs to be on your list of restaurants to visit in Dublin, as does Pi on George's Street, Sano on Exchange Street.
