I tried a £23 summer dress from Faye Winter's New Look collection and it was 'so versatile'

Love Island 2021 finalist Faye Winter has launched her own New Look collection with 'colour-pops and trending pieces'.

This is her first collaboration since leaving the villa last summer and I was lucky enough to get my hands on dress whilst the sun is still (just about) shining. I'm a huge fan of New Look dresses, so I was intrigued to see if her collection would be up to usual New Look standards.

I decided to try out the Red Spot Crepe Short Puff Sleeve Mini Dres s for £23.99 because I thought it looked like a really versatile dress. It comes in a crepe fabric with tie-back fastening and is described as being a 'mini length'.

The dress itself is made from recycled polyester and includes a 'fit and flare design' with a crew neckline. What really attracted me to this dress was the colour, the pretty red shade was absolutely gorgeous - especially with the contrasting black polka dots.

After trying on the dress, I was amazed at how lightweight it was. Some summery dresses can feel quite heavy and almost irritating on the skin, but this dress was as light as a feather.

Although the length is described as 'mini' I wouldn't say this dress is too short to wear to the office, and you could always pair it up with some tights. In fact, I'd say this dress is perfect for the office, purely because it's so lightweight and comfortable , yet smart.

I combined mine with some black heeled boots for a bit of added height to my 5'3 frame and to look extra smart. But this dress could easily be worn with casual trainers and sandals.

I really liked the fact that the dress wasn't too tight fitting, because there's nothing more uncomfortable than wearing a dress that clings to certain areas. It had a lovely flow to it with an almost skater dress effect and pretty puffed sleeves.

I'd even go as far to say that this dress is ideal for autumn too (aslong as it's teamed up with a warm jacket) purely because the colour red is very versatile. That dress, combined with some big boots, tights and a fluffy coat and you've got a great autumnal outfit.

I was really impressed with this dress from Faye Winter's collection purely because it's so versatile, but for those who would prefer a thicker material for a dress, this might not be for you.
