Chris Sutton has cast doubt on whether Celtic should sign Marcelo Saracchi permanently - even though he thinks he is a better footballer than Kieran Tierney.
The Parkhead club had a number of loan players last season and the vast majority barely contributed - with the likes of Tomas Cvancara, Joel Mvuka and Junior Adamu not showing the required quality.
The two full-backs they had - Saracchi and Julian Araujo - did and the club are believed to be exploring the possiblilty of keeping them beyond their loans.
The Uruguayan played second fiddle to Tierney at left-back but did still get plenty of opportunity to play and impressed fans with his displays - including in the final day title deciding win over Hearts.

Sutton feels the 28-year-old is a better technical footballer than Tierney but doubts whether he has the legs to justify signing him permanently from Boca Juniors.
He told the Warm-Up: "He's a decent footballer, but I'm not so sure he has the legs.
"He's probably a better footballer than Kieran Tierney. When he goes into that inverted role, he has better awareness of what's around, but he's not as good of a 1v1 defender as Tierney."
