I Started Wearing Contact Lenses As A Chronic Glasses Wearer & Consider Me Converted

I Started Wearing Contact Lenses As A Chronic Glasses Wearer & Consider Me Converted

I’ll never forget that day in 2009 when I sat at the back of my classroom and realised I couldn’t read what the green and blue writing on the whiteboard said.

That is, until I discovered the beauty of wearing contact lenses. Once I figured out how to pop those bad boys into my eyes, I never went back. Let me explain.

They’re firmly in place

Nowadays, when it comes to something that I know I’ll be moving around for, I opt for my contacts every single time, and for good reason. I don’t need to worry about a disastrous slip ‘n slide incident where all of a sudden I’m borderline legally blind.

My face becomes the main character

Yep, you best believe I’m not wearing my glasses when that’s the case. Now, I do love my glasses, don’t get me wrong, but there are times where I want my face to be the main character, not the frames.
When I wear my contacts, I can both see perfectly and ensure other people see me perfectly, too. It’s great for my ego, especially when I’m having a Good Face Day.

The power of dual wear

But, on the other hand, having the ability to switch to my contacts when I need them is a real blessing. It means that no matter the situation, I have an approach that’s going to work for me and make sure I’m not walking around squinting like no tomorrow.

Let me leave you with this parting note: if you’re at your next gig or birthday bash and struggling to reign your glasses in? You could wear contact lenses. Speak to your Specsavers optometrist today.
