'I shopped New Look's 70% sale and found summer dresses for just £6 - here are my top five picks'

Summer is officially on the horizon, meaning it is almost time to freshen up your wardrobe with some nice new outfits for the warmer weather.

And, if like me, you are sticking to a budget at the moment, then there is nothing better than heading to a clearance sale to pick up some seasonal new pieces for much less.

Which is exactly why I was happy to hear that high-street retailer New Look has a massive 70 per cent sale on hundreds of clothing items, footwear and accessories.

The fashion retailer is a popular choice amongst fashion-enthusiasts for its range of stylish and trendy clothing collections that are priced relatively low.

Now, shoppers can find trendy new outfits for the summer for much less, thanks to the retailers mammoth sale which is in-stores and online.

Considering I'm a fan of both fashion and New Look, I decided to head to my local store in the Bon Accord Centre in Aberdeen, just to see if the sale has anything for the upcoming season.

And, I was surprised to find the clearance sale is much bigger than I expected, with almost half of my store dedicated to the sale.

The sale was hard to miss as well, as it was advertised with big red signs on the store window display, and there were also massive yellow 'clearance' signs dotted around the store.

What was even better, was that I managed to find quite a few dresses that would be perfect for those promised warmer days, with some going for as little as £6.

You can view the whole sale by heading to your own local store or by going online, but I have managed to do some digging to find my five highlights.

While all items in the sale are old stock from previous seasons, I did manage to find quite a few dresses that resembled this season's hottest colour trends, such as pink and yellow.
