The NDMC Convention Centre in Delhi's Connaught Place was filled with the chatter of school girls on Monday morning. It was a moment of utter joy for these young and eager students, who were receiving sanitary napkins from Karolina Bielawska, Miss World 2022.
The school girls, as well as Miss World and Femina Miss India 2022 Sini Shetty, were all wearing a yellow-and-red beaded bracelet. Each bracelet was made from 28 beads -- 5 red in color, and the rest yellow. It is called the Menstrual Bracelet, the global symbol of menstruation to destigmatize and proudly embrace periods.
