‘I need the internet to settle this’: Redditor played matchmaker for their sister, but at their wedding, they were banished to the back of the room

A Reddit post recently explored a wedding situation that goes beyond your standard seating chart drama. The Reddit user TellStrange6712 took to the r/AmItheA–hole subreddit to ask the community for some perspective after being relegated to the back of the room at their sister’s wedding. It turns out, this wasn’t a mistake, but a calculated move that left the sibling feeling completely sidelined at an event to celebrate a couple they championed from the beginning.

Three weeks before the big day, the Redditor’s sister, Jen, called to inform them that they had been assigned to table nine. When the Redditor asked for specifics, they were told it was near the back. Then they saw the seating chart and realized they were “behind the photographers table.” They wrote, “not a bridesmaid not at the family table not even in the middle somewhere i was seated behind the people who were getting paid to be there.”
