Cashback fan Simon Lavender has explained how he made £4,000 using just one website.
Data insights consultant Simon, 40, from Reading, joined Topcashback in 2007 and puts the money he makes towards paying his mortgage.
Cashback sites do what they say on the tin. You'll get money back for a qualifying shop as you complete the transaction via their website.
It means you're essentially getting free cash on a purchase you would've made anyway.
Sometimes you'll need to provide proof of a receipt too, in order to claim cashback.
“I just think it’s a no brainer,” Simon, who lives with his partner, told The Mirror.
“Especially in the current circumstances where everyone is trying to save a little bit of money whenever they can.
“It’s very simple and quick to use but it gives you the option to save money on something you were going to buy anyway. It’s also surprising how much stuff you can get cashback on.”

Simon said he first heard about Topcashback from his money-savvy parents and now checks if he can get cashback on “absolutely everything”.
He estimates around 99% of his purchases are available with cashback, and some of the products he has made money back on include his energy bills and phone insurance.
Simon has also used cashback when buying clothes and booking holidays online.
“The biggest earning I’ve ever had from TopCashback was around £200 for an ISA I took out,” he said.
“You don’t always get this much back, but it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for special offers and increased cashback rates, especially if you are planning on buying an expensive item or looking to take out a new utility contract.
“Sometimes it’s only a couple of quid that you get back, but it all makes a difference in the long run.”
Simon said the only downside with cashback sites is that the money is not normally available to withdraw straight away.
The length of time it takes for cashback to become available depends on your purchase, but it can take a few weeks or months to clear through the system.
“I’ve had different experiences throughout the years,” explained Simon.
“Sometimes I get the money fairly quickly, others it takes a few weeks but as long as it gets there, I don’t mind.”
Mirror columnist Lynn Beattie, aka Mrs Mummypenny, has also praised cashback websites as a great way to earn money.
