I'm Shocked by Kendall Jenner's Bathroom Tile Shade – I Thought it Was the Opposite of Chic, But I'll Admit I've Been Proved Wrong

Kendall Jenner / Green tiled bathroom.

Just when you thought the moment had passed for Zellige tiles, Kendall Jenner's bathroom gives them a new lease of life in her striking spa-like bathroom. Zellige tiles gained popularity for their unique, hand-made quality and irregular glazes, which make each one slightly different. We've seen them in natural shell-like hues and soft pinks, but Kendall Jenner's bathroom, designed by Heidi Caillier, sees this tile burst back onto the interior decor scene in a punchy lime green hue.

While there are plenty of green bathroom ideas to try, this is one of the most vibrant and brave we've seen for a while, (let's face it, lime green gets a bad rap when it comes to interiors), not least thanks to the color's juxtaposition with the natural wood panelling, which conjures images of Scandi spas and dappled forests with mossy floors.

Homes & Gardens' Bathrooms Editor, Molly Malsom, explains: 'The tiles are bold in color and irregular in finish, creating a beautifully textured surface. And the green might be vibrant, but it feels perfectly at home with the rich wood tones on the wall, creating a personality-filled scheme that still feels really in-keeping with the architecture of the home.'

Below, you'll find some buys inspired by Kendall Jenner's bold tiled bathroom (get the look with these Zellige tiles in Cardamom from Lili Tiles), and some ideas about how to try this look at home.

What's really clever about the style of Kendall Jenner's bathroom and how she's kept it rooted in a modern aesthetic is where the tiles meet the wood panelling just below the sink level. 'Taking the floor tiles partway up the wall in a bathroom works the same way that a countersplash does in a kitchen,' explains Molly. 'It creates a seamless flow that elongates the space – in this case, the eye is drawn from the floor up the walls, which gives the illusion of a larger bathroom. It's usually something we see with large formal tiles that cover every surface, but pairing small square tiles with paneling brings something a bit more unexpected.'

Blending in a little heritage style with additions such as the tall vanity table (get the look with Home Depot's French Country Accent Table) and Victorian-style metal sink vanities (like the Aveline sink vanity from Pottery Barn) is a clever way to keep this look grounded and not overtly modern. While shots of unexpected brights, like the bright blue pendant lights (like these from Walmart).

Take Kendall Jenner's bathroom as your sign to be brave. While lime green might not have been your first choice of tile color, we think it works so beautifully here against the natural wood. 'It echoes the emerging trends for bolder takes on earthy colors in bathrooms in 2026, and something we should expect to see more of this year,' Adds Molly.
