I'm A Celebrity winner Jill Scott ruled herself out of victory with telling remark before final

Jill Scott ruled herself out of winning I'm A Celebrity, saying she looked around the camp on her first in the jungle and thought there was 'no way' she'd beat the other stars around her.

Ahead of Sunday's final bookies made Sunderland born footballer and England Lionesses hero Jill the red hot favourite to take the jungle crown, ahead of Matt Hancock and Owen Warner, following Mike Tindall 's shock exit at the end of Saturday's show. Mike had been regarded as 'nailed on' to at least make the final, with the fact Matt stayed in he show longer than him causing a real stir.

Having been pretty much neck and neck with Owen in the I'm A Celebrity odds earlier on in the week, Jill was the overwhelming tip to win going into the finale, on odds of 2/9. And the 35-year-old lived up to her billing as favourite to win as she beat Owen and Matt in the final.

However, at the start of Sunday night's series finale Jill was seen talking in the Bush Telegraph and saying she thought she had no chance of lasting very long on the show. She remarked: "Ah my god, when I first stepped into the jungle and looked around at all the celebrities, I was like no way am I getting anywhere near that final."

She added: "Now to be part of the final three with Owen and Matt, god it just means the world, it really does."

Speaking to matt and Owen in camp, Jill said: "I'm like actually in shock," before joking: "How shall we celebrate? Beans and rice."
