I'm A Celebrity viewers fear 'mass walkout' after Matt Hancock's arrival

ITV fans think a mass exit could be on the way for a popular reality show. Since the arrival of Matt Hancock as a contestant in this year's I'm A Celebrity series, one star has already considered quitting the show.

Viewers quickly noticed the tension once the former Health Secretary entered the camp on Wednesday, November 9, with comedian Seann Walsh. Several of this year's contestants were unimpressed and shocked by the arrival, with others saying they didn't agree with him being on the show or his reasons for being there, reports The Daily Mirror.

Many fans are predicting that one or perhaps more celebrities could exit the show over the new arrival. Viewers also believe the MP might have to leave the series sooner rather than later if ITV bosses hope to stop a "mass exit" from taking place.

On Wednesday, November 9, Boy George confessed he was considering leaving the jungle, despite the best efforts from another campmate to stop him. Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, he became emotional and said: "I don't really know what to do with my feelings.

"You know, today was obviously quite emotional for me. I don't know what it's going to be like, I actually don't really know if I want to be here."

Sue Cleaver encouraged Boy George to stay, and she shared her view on the matter. Sue said: "Just sleep on it tonight.

"Look, why he came in and what he's doing here, it's not our responsibility and it's not for us to take on." Sue later said in the Bush Telegraph: "George was having a bit of a moment.

"I think if I'm honest that most of us are sort of feeling it's a bit of a very strange situation to be in." The Coronation Street actress pulled a face and made some telling comments when Mr Hancock first entered the camp.

Charlene White wasted no time in grilling Mr Hancock over his reasons for doing the show, and his comments left many viewers outraged and calling him a liar. However, they weren't the only ones to say this, as Mike Tindall repeatedly called Mr Hancock's claims "b******t" when Charlene fed back to some of the group.

Charlene herself had questioned whether the MP's appearance on the show would "go down well at home", clearly not agreeing with him abandoning his government duties.

Babatúndé Aléshé confided in Jill Scott about the "tension" he was sensing in the camp. He also told Owen Warner it was "hard to push his views aside".

Viewers are now predicting several cast members could end up leaving the series following the arrival of the Tory MP. On Twitter, they guessed drama and tension was on the cards for sure, whilst many also wondered if a mass walkout could happen.

One viewer said: "I got a funny feeling [Hancock] is gonna to have walk, before they have a mass walkout." Another tweeted: "George is going to quit. I’m calling it now!"

A third viewer added: "I think many will walk out," as a fourth wrote: "I reckon Boy George will walk out."

A fifth fan said: "This could backfire very badly on ITV and Ant & Dec. People do not want to be entertained by Matt Hancock and the celebrities do not want their reputations to be tarnished by playing games with him. I wonder how they would have handled a walkout."
