I'm A Celebrity viewers are urging each other not to split their votes for tonight's final- amid fears that Matt Hancock could be crowned king of the jungle.
Hancock's place in the final has been met with outrage from the public and celebrities, and now fans of the show are pleading for people to think carefully about their vote, to ensure the former health secretary does not beat fellow finalists Jill Scott and Owen Warner.
The public get five votes each, and people reckon those voting for Matt are giving him all their votes, whereas other viewers are sharing out theirs among campmates.
Now people are taking to social media, advising fans of the show to just vote for Jill or Owen, to prevent Matt from winning.
One person said: "PLEASE do not split your votes between jill and owen, vote for either just jill or just owen bc matt will end up with most votes if everyone else splits their votes and people who vote for matt just solely vote for him."
Another wrote: "Don't split your votes. That's how Matt is staying in. Either all 5 for Jill or all 5 for Owen."
A third person said: "Vote for Jill! I think her chances of beating Matt are stronger than Owen’s we cannot split this vote! Make sure the wrong person doesn’t win this show!"
A fourth viewer penned: "Everyone loves Jill and Owen so will split their votes 3/2 for them. Meanwhile, the people who want Matt to win - for no other reason than it will (rightly) infuriate a large number of people - will give all 5 votes to him. He could seriously win this."
Another person they were back Lioness Jill, writing: "We all need to decide who to vote for so the vote isn’t split and stop matt from winning let’s all vote jill let’s go."
Piers Morgan has led the famous faces voicing their disbelief that some people are backing the politician to win the show.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter took to Twitter to write: “That Matt Hancock, who should be doing his job as an MP, may win I’m A Celebrity after his appalling handling of the pandemic & shameful sacking for breaking his own lockdown rules, is a damning indictment of the celebrification of politics & the British public’s amnesia.”
Former campmate, writer and radio DJ Danny Baker said he’s had to stop watching this year’s show and slammed the MP as a “disgrace”.
He tweeted: “Stopped watching #ImACeleb five episodes ago when it became clear Matt Hancock was being facilitated by a pro-Tory voting block.
“@ ITV should really review what they have done here. The total trivialisation of a national tragedy. He is not ‘a character’. He is a disgrace.”
