I'm A Celebrity South Africa viewers baffled as show taken off air after double eviction

I'm A Celebrity South Africa was missing from Saturday night's ITV schedule and fans were left confused by the schedule shake-up after former You Are What You Eat host Gillian McKeith and Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder became the first two celebrities to leave this year’s show.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were still on ITV screens Saturday evening as I'm A Celebrity made way for Britain's Got Talent while new hospital drama Malpractice airs on Sunday at 9pm, meaning fans will have to wait till Monday for the next slice of jungle action.

One saddened fan tweeted: "@imacelebrity Disappointed just seen no #ImACeleb on tonight #imacelebrity #ImACelebSouthAfrica @antanddec."

"I'm sorry but why no #ImACeleb tonight? I was looking forward to a double dose of @antanddec @ITV," another wrote.

Ant and Dec shared a picture from the Britain's Got Talent auditions on Twitter but one fan replied: "Wish it was #ImACelebSouthAfrica instead."

After leaving the jungle, Gillian addressed being reunited with Shaun following their first I'm A Celebrity experience where the two famously did not get on well.

She said: "I heard a rumour he might be going in and I was horrified. I thought I don’t know how this is going to go because we were kind of nemesis in 2010 as you probably know.

"Then when I saw him as I arrived I thought, oh no it’s him! I said ‘hello Shaun’ and I felt something shifted even in that moment. He was very welcoming to me actually."

Shaun added: "To be honest, I wasn’t too surprised to see Gillian. She made such an impact last time I thought, if anyone is coming back, she’ll be there. The only difference is I’m 12 years more mature, I’m such a mature guy now [laughs]. I’m a mature dude now, not like I was 12 years ago. I was all peaceful and nice with Gillian as soon as she walked in.

"I think she was a little bit ‘woo’, a little bit ‘whey’ as she had all these memories going on. But we got on. We went and did a Chest Challenge together and then I obviously picked her for this last Trial. You know, Gillian’s Gillian. I mean, last time, I didn’t not like Gillian. I kept telling her that."
