In his third Bushtucker Trial so far - just three days in - Matt Hancock faced I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here's first eating challenge of the series on Friday, November 11, alongside pop icon Boy George after they were voted for by the public to face a collection of disgusting dishes and drinks. And while most people are very aware of what this entails, the menu that they are served is always so much worse than is anticipated.
In tonight's episode, which aired at 9pm on ITV and is hosted by much-loved presenting duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, the pair arrived at a Mexican-themed cafe named La Cucaracha Cafe - the cockroach cafe - and were told they'd need to eat eleven dishes, taking it in turns. For the 11th and final star, however, they'd both need to finish the plate.
As Boy George - who Charlene dubbed as having a "stomach of steel" - is vegetarian, he was exempt from facing the meaty options, such as an ostrich anus, that have left campmates of series past gagging. This meant west Suffolk's MP and former Health Secretary Matt was to be served these delicacies.

Faced with a fish eye taco first, Matt was needing to eat one whole eye and joked: “I was going to say I like tacos...” Before exclaiming of the dish: “Very fishy!”
Queasy nachos - a mixture of fermenting sticky beans, three spoonfuls of which he needed to finish - was up next for Boy George, before Matt tackled a glass full of a 'smoothie' of blended meal worms - which he was required to drink in full - before chomping down on a witchetty grub 'garnish' - which caused him to gag.
Dishes by dish, the flavours appeared to get distinctively worse. As Boy George was served up a blended, fermented duck egg, he said: “I’m trying to stay calm. That kind of didn’t taste of anything and then it tasted of everything. You know like a fart." Laughing, he added: "Sue Cleaver did a fart the other day and it was like charcoal - that’s what it was like.”
Then, came the dishes viewers enjoy most: Matt was dished up a camel’s penis in a dish called Willy Con Carne. Chewing ferociously, Dec asked Matt: “Is it crunchy?”
To which Matt grimaced and explained: “It was soft and crunchy at the same time. The texture was horrible. And the hardest bit was the thought of what it is.”
With whole vomit fruit for Boy George - alongside encouragement from Matt: “You’re doing great” - he said: "It's a good time to tell you I've never voted Tory". To which Matt said: "That's not news George."
Boy George continued: “Who eats this? Where is it a delicacy, hell? It tastes like a dirty sock!” before he was faced with six fermented plums, which saw the singer vocally gagging, with him saying it made him "want to vomit".
For Matt, it was then a sheep's vagina. It seems sickness was a common theme in Boy George's dishes as his next was six cubes of fermented tofu which, upon trying, he said: "Oh my god… it’s disgusting. I can’t even describe what it tastes like, it’s vile. It’s like eating sick.”
Matt was then served cow’s anus, which he finished in full. He said: “The texture’s terrible and all the time you’re thinking about what you’re eating. I don’t recommend it as a main course.”
In the end, the pair came out on top having both completed their dishes and earned the camp a full house of 11 stars - although Boy George admitted: “I wanted to do a food trial... it’s a lot worse than I thought.”
Reentering camp as champions of the food trial, they told their fellow campmates of their victory, which was received with utter jubilation.
In the Bush Telegraph Scarlette said: “The most unlikely pair, the odd couple, those two have had to go out and work together in a trial, but it worked. They came back, they put their differences aside, got 11 stars for all of us we’re going to eat so well tonight.”
