I'm A Celebrity's Matt Hancock has been accused of 'breaking rules' during Babatunde Aleshe's jungle exit.
The Gogglebox star and comedian became the latest campmate to head out of the Australian jungle during last night's episode of the ITV show, with Tory MP Matt Hancock somehow surviving another vote-off.
As Babatunde learned his fate, he stood up to say goodbye to each one of them in turn including Mr Hancock.
Commenting on what happened, Richard Arnold fumed over Mr Hancock's comment to the comedian and accused him of 'breaking the show's rules' with what he said - insisting he shouldn't be allowed to.
When Babatunde left last night, as he bid goodbye to Mr Hancock, he told him: "Man like Matt!" using his favourite catchphrase as he said his farewells to each one of the six remaining celebrities.
When he said it to Mr Hancock and told him "you're so wonderful", the politician quickly replied and told his fellow campmate "will you say that to Gina".
"Sending a message to the outside world," Richard remarked as Susanna Reid asked "is that not allowed". Richard replied to insist it wasn't - adding: "Not allowed to send a message to this outside world. Subliminal messages are different."
Richard then joked: "I'd be sending a flare up by this point - it's been long enough!"
Before he ended the segment, Richard had one more thing to say - and a dig at the former Health Secretary.
"There we have it, Matt Hancock breaking rules," he said to much laughter from in the studio. He was seemingly referring to Mr Hancock's affair with his now-girlfriend Gina Coladangelo.
Gina and the former Health Secretary hit the headlines back in 2021 when a picture of them kissing emerged. The CCTV picture, which was leaked to the media, sparked fury and after being accused of breaking his own Covid rules during his liaison with Gina, he resigned as Health Secretary.
His comment comes after even Gina couldn't resist a dig at the MP as she wrote to him in a letter from home.
"Dear Matt, wow watching you in the jungle has been quite the experience. We are particularly impressed that you conquered your fear of snakes. We are less sure about the dancing," she wrote in the letter.
She added: "Although we saw that you almost got the electric slide thanks to Scarlette. Gina xxxxx."
Earlier in the series, he was asked about breaking his own rules amid the lockdown - and he said "it was no excuse but I fell in love".
