I'm A Celebrity 'rule break' during Matt Hancock's goodbye to Babatunde, says GMB star

Babatunde Aleshe was announced as the latest celebrity to leave the Australian jungle on Wednesday evening, November 23. The comedian picked up his rucksack and said his goodbyes but not before Matt Hancock appeared to 'break the rules' during the exit farewells.

Gogglebox star and comedian, Babatunde, hugged his fellow campmates before heading off over the bridge to give the lowdown on his experience to show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. The ITV show has already said goodbye to Charlene White, Scarlette Douglas, Sue Cleaver and Boy George.

However, Good Morning Britain star Richard Arnold spotted an exchange between Baba and Tory MP Matt Hancock, and he wasn't happy. Accusing the MP of 'breaking the show's rules' with what he said - Richard insisted he shouldn't be allowed.

When Babatunde left I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! last night, he said his farewells to each one of the six remaining celebrities. He told Matt Hancock: "Man like Matt!" using his favourite catchphrase. According to the Mirror, when he said it to Matt he told him "you're so wonderful", the politician quickly replied and told his fellow campmate "will you say that to Gina".

Richard Arnold fumed. "Sending a message to the outside world," Richard remarked as Susanna Reid asked "is that not allowed". Richard replied that campmates were not allowed to send a message to the outside world, adding: "Subliminal messages are different."

Richard then joked: "I'd be sending a flare up by this point - it's been long enough!" Before he ended the segment, on the morning show, Richard had one more thing to say - and it was a dig at the former Health Secretary. "There we have it, Matt Hancock breaking rules," he said to much laughter from in the studio. He was seemingly referring to Mr Hancock's affair with his now-girlfriend Gina Coladangelo.

Gina and the former Health Secretary hit the headlines back in 2021 when a picture of them kissing emerged. The CCTV picture, which was leaked to the media, sparked fury and after being accused of breaking his own Covid rules during his liaison with Gina, he resigned as Health Secretary.

Earlier in the series, fellow campmates asked the MP about breaking his own rules amid the lockdown. He said "it was no excuse but I fell in love".
