Matt Hancock hit the headlines last summer as his affair became public knowledge.
The Tory MP was caught locking lips with his now girlfriend Gina Coladangelo, as images of him breaching social distancing rules painted the front pages of many newspapers. In the aftermath of the cheating scandal, Mr Hancock stepped down from his position as Health Secretary and broke up with his wife of 15 years - Martha.
The nation were emblazoned with rage after he broke his own social distancing rules. The images were from May 6 and, under the government’s unlocking timetable, intimate contact with people outside your own household was only permitted from May 17.

And that anger continued as it was announced that he would be a late addition to this year's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.
However, Mr Hancock's 'aid' turned girlfriend, Gina, has remained through his side throughout all of the hatred. This week she was spotted flying out to Australia ready to be by his side for if he happens to be the first contestant leaving the jungle. Here is everything we know about Gina and her relationship with the politician.
Who is Gina Coladangelo?
Gina Lucia Coladangelo is a British businesswoman, lobbyist, and a former non-executive director at the Department of Health and Social Care. In 2009, she married Oliver Tress, the owner of Oliver Bonas, with whom she has three children.
At one point, Gina was a marketing and communications director at her ex-husband's company. In June 2019 she received a parliamentary pass as a member of Hancock's staff and was later given a part-time role as a non-executive director at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
As an aide to Mr Hancock, she accompanied him to confidential meetings with civil servants. But, in June 2021, it was reported that she resigned after her affair with the MP was exposed. She also broke up with Oliver Tress as Matt left his own wife too.
How did Matt Hancock and Gina Coladangelo meet?
The couple have been friends since studying together at Oxford University in the 1990s. Speaking of their long-term friendship, Mr Hancock said: "I’ve known Gina for more than half of my life and we first actually worked together on student radio back in the Oxford days. So, we spent a lot of time together, ironically, trying to get me to be able to communicate in a more emotionally intelligent way."

The MP seems to be very much in love with Gina despite all of the controversy around their relationship. He professed his love for her while chatting to his I'm a Celeb campmates.
Speaking of the scandal, Mr Hancock said: "I messed up and I 'fessed up, right? I fell in love." He added: "It also had a lot of other consequences, obviously. But am I still with Gina? Yeah very much so, yeah, totally. That’ll be the best thing about being kicked out, seeing her on the bridge."
Before entering the jungle, he spoke about ended his marriage with Martha. He said: "Of course, I regret the pain that that’s caused. Doing that in public is incredibly painful but I fell in love with someone.
"Anybody knows how difficult it is ending a relationship. It’s tough. But Gina and I love each other very deeply. Seven, eight months later. It gets a bit easier with time."
