I'm A Celebrity fans 'confused' and complain minutes into new 'weird' series

I'm A Celebrity...South Africa kicked off on Monday as Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly welcomed a batch of familiar faces to the brand new All Star series but ITV viewers weren't too sure as they pointed out a "weird" feature of the 'legend' series.

It was previously confirmed that the All Star series was filmed last year and will therefore not be live.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! airs every year in the weeks leading up to Christmas and fans struggled to cope with the series airing in Spring.

One fan tweeted: "This feels weird, it made me panic because had a sudden thought that I haven’t started my Christmas shopping #ImACeleb," while another wrote: "When you hear the #ImACeleb theme tune and you panic that you haven’t done your #Christmas shopping!"

A third added: "Feels strange watching #ImACeleb without my Christmas tree up," and another added: "Doesn’t quite feel the same seeing as it was recorded last September. #Imaceleb."

"Starting to panic now, I haven't bought any presents yet! IM SO CONFUSED #ImACeleb," someone else wrote.

Meanwhile, former England cricketer Phil Tufnell looks set to win the first All Star series after winning the show in Australia in 2003.

The 56-year-old is the bookies' favourite to be crowned 'legend of the jungle', according to Ladbrokes.

Viewers were left confused (ITV)

Jessica O'Reilly of the betting firm said: "Tuffers was a firm fan favourite back in the day which easily makes him the clear front runner for glory in South Africa."

She added: "However, with the likes of Joe Swash and Georgia Toffolo rumoured to be joining the camp his position at the top of the I'm A Celebrity betting may not last for too long."

Phil is now 4/1 to win the series while next in line is Happy Monday's star, Shaun Ryder with odds of 8/1.

Carol Vorderman at 10/1, Jordan Banjo, at 16/1 and Amir Khan, at 20/1 are also in the running to be crowned champion.

However, former royal butler Paul Burrell appears to be the rank outside at the beginning of the series.

The former servant to Princess Diana seems to be way out with odds of just 50/1.

I'm A Celebrity South Africa continues on ITV and ITVX on Tuesday at 9pm.
