Chris Moyles takes aim at Matt Hancock after 'major issues' as he exits I'm A Celebrity

I'm A Celebrity's Chris Moyles became the latest star to leave the ITV show on Thursday night, in the latest public vote.

The radio star confessed he was "gutted" to be out before disgraced Tory MP Matt Hancock, asking: "What is going on?"

After a few tough days in camp, Chris admitted he'd finally got to the point where he was keen to stay and go all the way.

Chris said: "I thought [this morning] I've got this now. I'd really like to stay, I'd quite fancied doing the Cyclone."

On Hancock outstaying him on the series, he told hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly: "I'm gutted Matt Hancock is more popular than me. What is going on?"

He later added he had "major issues" with the disgraced MP, but "less issues" with Matt as a person in the camp.

He explained: "Why am I out and he’s still in? I really struggled with [his arrival] to be fair and then I s****ed him a bit. Matt Hancock I've got major issues with, but Matt... less issues."

Hosts Ant and Dec shared the news just days before the live final, scheduled to air on Sunday evening.

There were six stars left waiting for the news on who would be leaving, with none of them knowing who would be next.

But Ant and Dec soon put everyone out of their misery, and confirmed the latest campmate who had been booted out - leaving just five stars remaining on the show.

It comes as the fifth elimination of the series aired on Wednesday night, as comedian Babatunde Aleshe left the jungle for good.

As the result came in, Babatunde said his goodbyes - leaving six stars remaining on the 2022 series.

On leaving them, he thanked his new friends for his time on the show and said it was "the best experience he had ever had".

The comedian soon left the presenters laughing seconds into his exit interview, as he spilled a glass of champagne over himself.

Babatunde told Ant and Dec he wanted Owen Warner to win the show, calling the actor his "closest friend" in camp.

The comedian also revealed he was surprised how different it was doing the show to watching it as a viewer, telling the pair: "Living in it is a whole different experience."

Viewers were gutted to see him leave the show so close to the final, with many surprised by the result.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "How did Matt and Chris get more votes that Baba."

Another agreed: "How the f**k is Baba out yet Chris is still in ffs. Fuming."

A third fan said: "Baba gone. Nah that's it #ImACeleb will be a bore now," and a fourth viewer wrote: "Gutted Baba has gone!"

Prior to Babatunde leaving the jungle, the previous eliminations saw singer Boy George, Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver, TV presenter Scarlette Douglas and Loose Women's Charlene White all axed from the series - while Love Island star Olivia Attwood was forced to withdraw just a day into the show.

I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
