I'm A Celebrity 2022 voting figures show Matt Hancock was nowhere near winning

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! crowned the 2022 winner on Sunday, November 27 after weeks of Bushtucker Trials and challenges following the ITV show's return to its home in Australia. The final saw Matt Hancock, Owen Warner, and Jill Scott go head-to-head for the crown following Mike Tindall's exit which saw him placed fourth in the competition.

After a bumper episode, which you can catch up on here, presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donelly crowned the former Lioness Queen of the Jungle, with Hollyoaks star Owen placing runner-up and the UK's former health secretary Matt coming in third.

Now, ITV has shared the voting figures for the 2022 series and they show that the Tory MP had no chance of winning. Not only that but the figures reveal just how much Jill won by after stealing the nation's hearts.

When there were three finalists left in the competition, Jill earned 47.29% of the vote, while Owen received 30.99% and Matt got just a fifth of the vote at 21.72% of all votes. When the vote came down to just Jill and Owen it was a closer call, with Jill receiving 57.66% of the final vote and Owen 42.34%.

Speaking after being crowned Queen of the Jungle after learning that 12 million people had voted, Jill said she couldn't believe it. She added: "I think I'm going to owe my grandma a lot of money for the 12 million votes".
