I'm A Celeb's Scarlette Douglas says Matt Hancock promised camp drinks at House of Commons

Scarlette Douglas has said that Matt Hancock promised his I'm A Celebrity campmates that they could have drinks together at the House of Commons after the show ends.

The presenter, 35, made the remark during a recent radio interview. It came following her departure from the camp in the Australia, which was shown on the ITV show last week.

She was asked about the politician, 44, on Capital XTRA Breakfast this morning. Scarlette spoke to the breakfast show's co-hosts Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie.

The interview saw her asked if she thinks anyone from camp "will talk to, hang out with [or] be friends with" Matt after the show ends. Laughing, she initially responded: "No!"

She however continued: "No, wait that's a lie." It was then that Scarlette - known for A Place in the Sun - mentioned the potential of a reunion with her former campmates.

Scarlette said: "He promised us that we could all go for drinks at the House of Commons. So I think we'll be friends with him until that moment and then I'm not sure after that".

The remark came towards the end of a Q&A section of the radio show. It had also seen her asked who she considered to be the "least genuine" of her fellow campmates.

She answered that in her opinion it was Matt. Explaining her reasoning for her answer, Scarlette said: "He came in saying that he wanted forgiveness [...] and then we found out that he has so many things happening when he gets out".

Matt - who is the MP for West Suffolk - is due to release a book, titled Pandemic Diaries, next month. The project has been mentioned by the politician whilst in the jungle.

Matt is among the remaining campmates on I'm A Celebrity. There are just six left in camp as the ITV show nears towards its final, which is set to air on Sunday (November 27).

The other celebrities still in the jungle include former footballer Jill Scott, 35, radio host Chris Moyles, 48, and actor Owen Warner, 23. Former rugby union player Mike Tindall, 44, and comedian Seann Walsh, 36, are with them.
