I'm A Celeb's Mike Tindall blitzes grim Bushtucker Trial - thanks to broken nose

I'm A Celeb 's Mike Tindall smashed through one of the most gruelling Bushtucker Trials there is, thanks to an old sport injury.

The former rugby player has famously broken his nose eight times and as a result claimed he can't smell properly.

What should be a handicap turned out to be an advantage as the royal family member was given a blended cocktail made from cheese fruit, which are also known as vomit fruit due to their strong odour.

The cocktail came as part of Bushtucker Trial - The Speak Uneasy which saw Mike and camp mate Jill Scott swallow vile drinks in order to win food for camp.

As the 44-year-old eyed up the beige looking drink, he joked with hosts Ant and Dec: "Fortunately I can't smell anything in this nose anyway so it doesn't matter anyway does it?"

Dec replied: "Eight times broken so can't smell a thing."

Whilst Mike couldn't smell the foul concoction and accompanying vomit fruit, his camp mate footballer Jill Scott could as she covered her nose due to the pungent odour.

Mike, who is married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara, took the disgusting drink in his stride and downed with it ease.

Whilst Jill joked with presenters Ant and Dec, Mike didn't even bat an eyelid as he blitzed through the drink without so much as a grimace.

Jill commented: "Now that was impressive."

Once finished, Mike turned to Ant and Dec to check he'd passed his challenge before joking: "Yeah that was bad. I understand why no one buys it."

Ant and Dec laughed before Dec explained: "That's why the drinks are free in here, we couldn't charge for them."

Up next was Lioness Jill Scott who was served a Southern Dis-comfort, made of blended fish eyes in a grey sickly looking drink.

Mike's impressive performance in the drinks challenge follows another stellar performance in a previous Bushtucker Trial alongside Corrie actress Sue Cleaver.

The pair took part in Partners In Grime, which saw them asked a series of personal questions about each other during the Mr and Mrs-style game to win stars for meals back at camp.

Whilst the pair did well, some viewers were left accusing Mike of 'cheating' by fixing one of his answers. When Sue was asked what Mike's rugby nickname was by his team mates, she replied: "Magic Mike".

However, sports fans will remember former rugby player Mike was in fact known as 'The Fridge' due to his sheer size and stature.

Mike guessed that Sue wouldn't know this so Mike said his nickname was Magic Mike, which he's already been known as in camp due to his cool collected demeanour.

Explaining the challenge, Ant said: "This is Partners In Grime. In this game show you will compete in your pairs. You'll be asked a question about your partner and if their response matches yours you will win a star."

So whilst Mike guessed correctly that Sue would choose 'Magic Mike' and won a star, some viewers were left unimpressed.
