I'm A Celeb's Matt Hancock enrages animal rights activists as he eats camel penis

Matt Hancock's latest Bushtucker Trial on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has left animal activists furious.

The disgraced MP has been voted to take part in three trials since entering the main camp earlier this week, with Brits vowing to vote for him to do the gruesome trials.

His appearance has also ruffled the feathers of his fellow campmates, with several grilling the 44-year-old who was famously ousted after breaking his own Covid lockdown rules.

Matt had an affair with a colleague while married to his wife of 15 years, Martha, which also cost him his job within the cabinet.

During Friday's (November 11) episode of the popular ITV programme, the backbench MP and pop music icon Boy George were voted to take part in La Cucaracha Café.

Mr Hancock managed to scoff down the repulsive foods which included a raw fish eye, blended fish guts, sheep vagina, camel penis and a cow's anus with no hesitation but it hasn't gone down too well with animal activists.

Ahead of the episode, a source told the MailOnline: "All the public wanted to see is Matt eating penis and anus and they've finally had their way and it's great TV, it's literally a laugh every minute."

Meanwhile, Kate Rae from the Wild Camel Protection Foundation told The Sun: "Why would anyone want to eat a penis from any animal? I think things like this will encourage people to think these animals can be killed and eaten.

"And you would expect MPs like Mr Hancock to be setting an example — but this is abhorrent and just odd."

Meanwhile, Loose Women star Charlene White left no stone unturned as she confronted Hancock after he had been asked about breaking the rules during lockdown – although he insisted he didn't break any laws, claiming he went against his own guidance.

Chris Moyles had asked: "You got a lockdown fine, didn't you?" to which he replied: "No, of course, I didn't. No, I did not. I didn't break any…"

It was then that Charlene had her say on his antics, before revealing her tragic loss - and how the restrictions set by Hancock, which he went on to break, impacted her family and their grief.

Charlene said: "You were socialising with someone outside of your household," with him replying: "I didn't break any laws. Guidance is different."

The broadcaster went on to explain that she had to bury her aunt, while unable to hug her relatives before Matt explained her experience is why he regrets his affair.
