I'm A Celeb's Ant urges fans to vote for other stars as Matt Hancock does fifth trial

Ant McPartlin has told fans "you need to vote" – after Matt Hancock was chosen to do his fifth successive Bushtucker trial in a row.

Whilst many fans of I'm A Celebrity want to make him suffer as much as possible, some viewers are now fed up of seeing the disgraced MP trying to win meals for camp and hogging most of the airtime.

Amongst them is former contestant Jake Quickenden who said on Saturday night: "I’ll be p**sed off if it’s Matt again…. No point he does them easily, give someone else a chance."

Unfortunately for Jake, it was Matt who was chosen again.

Underneath Ant and Dec's latest social media video the majority of comments were from fans urging others to stop voting for Mr Hancock.

Responding to this, show host Ant said: "If you want other people to do the trial, you've got to vote for them. If you want to see other people in the show you've got to vote for those other people.

"Because as we know the trials take up, what a third of the show? It's the first part of the show and it's normally a big part of the show. So if you're missing people and you want to see them, vote for them."

Matt Hancock remains the most controversial contestant and opinions on him vary. It remains to be seen whether he will get the "forgiveness" he says he is on the show to get.

Former Queen of the Jungle Georgia Toffolo said on Twitter this weekend she is warming to him.

She explained: "I really stand by what I said about Matt Hancock. He should have resigned then gone on the show - you can’t do both. HOWEVER…he’s coming across SO WELL! Brilliant tele and he’s likeable too. Very conservative party of me to do a screeching u-turn."

Matt's latest challenge tonight is called House of Horrors.

On Saturday night's show he won five stars when he teamed up with Hollyoaks star Owen Warner to compete in a version of ITV game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire titled 'Who Wants to Look Silly On Air?

Earlier this week, in his exclusive column with The Mirror, Jake Quickenden insisted other celebs deserved to take part in trials and win meals for camp.

He wrote: "It would be a shame not to give everyone air time though, it’s important everyone gets their personality out there for all to see so we can form a bond with them as viewers, rather than it just turning into The Matt Hancock show.

"Personally I can’t wait to watch him eat something nasty."
