I love electric cars. So when I heard this week that the F-150 Lightning has been axed my response didn't quite mirror the industry's. I'm not sad. I'm rejoicing. And I think automakers should go further: Instead of just holding the ID. Buzz for one model year, Volkswagen may be wise to cancel it until the company can substantially lower its price.
