Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has described Everton as a 'proper opponent' ahead of tonight’s game at Goodison Park.
United make the trip to Merseyside looking to bounce back in the Premier League after last weekend’s 6-3 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad. Ten Hag’s side did, however, beat Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Everton, meanwhile, have won their last two games, with their most recent victory coming against Southampton at St Mary’s. And speaking ahead of the game at Goodison, Ten Hag has warned his side that they will have to beat at their best to get a result.

He said: "A real, proper opponent. They are unbeaten over the last six games so it's a tough opponent.
“[They have] good organisation, they are playing with passion, so I like them. We have to be good, we have to be at our best to get the right result: that is a win."
Before Ten Hag added: "They have good players, they have a good team, they have a good manager, so we have to be prepared. We have to be ready to start the game well and get the right result."
