A woman with Tourette's says people think she is "lying" about her condition but says Lewis Capaldi has brought the condition "into the open". Grace Lily, 20, has suffered from the condition since she was four-years-old and says she often finds it "embarrassing" when she tics.
But Grace and her mum, Hannah, 45, say Capaldi's approach to dealing with Tourette's has brought the condition "into the open." The Someone You Loved singer revealed that he had been diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome last year and struggled to finish his Glastonbury set last weekend.
Grace says a lot of people don't take into account the physical pain from ticking and see it "just as swearing" and think she is "lying" or "joking" about it. Grace, who runs a dog walking business, said: "It was just nice to see so many people be understanding of what Lewis was going through.
