There are rumours doing the rounds that actress Supriya Pilgaonkar has been approached to play a pivotal role in Anupamaa.
Refuting the rumours, Supriya said, "This is very surprising. It is not true. I have been reading about this news online and I am surprised how people make up stories. I have not even received a call from the production house, leave alone giving an audition. It is an interesting show and on my recent visit to London, people were asking me about it. I do watch the show but I have not been approached for it."
Supriya is hoping to bag something interesting soon. "I don't want to do a role which I don't like to watch. I did get offered something soon after my last show Sasural Genda Phool 2, but I wanted a break. Hopefully, I will be back on TV soon," she said.
During the recent break that she took, Supriya went with her husband, actor Sachin Pilgaonkar, to London for a holiday. She said, "It was a fun holiday where I was my husband's tour guide taking him around London and out side the city too. I had a lot of fun and we just returned four days ago. Everything was great about the holiday except for the immigration lines. We had to wait three hours in queue to clear our immigration."
She was back in time for Diwali. Sharing how she is celebrating the festival, Supriya said, "We are happy making rangolis and decorating the house. My daughter Shriya had gone to Australia to watch the India-Pakistan match and she was lucky to see the iconic win when Virat Kohli led the team to victory."
