‘I had to get double glazing fitted after my neighbours complained about my lovemaking’

There's nothing more awkward than your neighbours complaining they can hear you in the bedroom.

One woman claims she was SO noisy that council officials were forced to investigate - prompting her to splash out on some double glazing.

Secretary Sophie, from Harpenden, Herts, says she got fed up with her neighbours complaining about her noisy sex.

She was left mortified after facing an investigation from environmental health officers from her local council.

She said: 'I only make a loud noise when I am with a new lover because I find sex so exciting when it’s fresh.

"I lose all inhibitions when the sex is good and I do end up screaming the house down.

“The neighbours used to bang on the walls to shut me up and when that didn’t work they shopped me to the council.

“I love sex so much that I knew I was never going to be able to stifle my passion so I got double glazing fitted to muffle my screams. I got one of my lovers to pay for it - it was the best £3,000 we ever spent.”

Sophie’s problems started when she signed up for IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading affairs site.

She said: "I find sex in a long-term relationship boring. No matter how much you click with the person in the end the sex becomes routine and you are both just going through the motions.

"I am noisy for the first few times and then I tend to quieten down.

"I wanted to meet some new lovers and a friend of mine was using IllicitEncounters.com because she said all the men on there were loaded and loved sex. She wasn’t wrong.

"My first affair was with a rich insurance broker whose wife had gone off sex. We went for dinner and then straight back to mine for sex.

|He was an amazing lover with incredible stamina. I was making a right racket until the early hours and I knew I was going to be in the neighbours’ bad books the next day. A few days later I got a visit from environmental health. I promised that I would not do it again and they let me off with a warning.

"I got lucky with my second lover because he was a builder. We would meet at mine once a week for sex and it was always a high decibel affair.

"I knew that the neighbours were going to complain again and that is when he suggested I get double glazing. He had a mate who did a deal and got them fixed with extra thick glass.

"Now I can make as much racket as I like and the neighbours cannot hear a thing.”

Sophie was speaking after a new survey of 2,000 people from IllicitEncounters.com found that women make more noise than men during sex.

Six out of ten men (62%) and a similar number of women (64%) said women were the noisier lovers.

The survey also looked at the first thing we say after sex. For women, it was ‘You’re amazing’ whereas for men it was simply: “Wow!”

Jessica Leoni, sex and relationship expert with IllicitEncounters.com, said: “What we say straight after sex says so much about the state of the relationship.

“Most couples in long-term relationships say very little because they are often going through the motions and the sex is the same every time.

“What is more revealing is what is said in new relationships when you are still really into each other and the sex is exciting.

“You can tell when a person’s interest is waning by their muted response at the end of sex.
