'I got my nana banned from 3 family BBQs and 5 church events - she deserved it'

A man has been praised for the "petty revenge" he took on his grandmother after she betrayed his trust. He explained how he sought comfort in her after being told he has a "medical issue" - thinking she'd keep the information to herself.

But, he later found out she "blabbed" to several of their relatives, who he no longer speaks to for one reason or another. He said on Reddit: "They have zero business knowing about this. I told her it was not OK for her to do that. She got offended and started telling other people I barely know about what's going on."

Knowing she wasn't going to stop, the man screenshot their text conversation and sent it to his close family members, who already know about his medical struggles.

"I 'accidentally' sent a family email with screenshots of the nasty texts she sent me after I asked her not to tell people what's going on because I'm still processing and I'm not ready for everyone to know," he said.

"The back lash was glorious. She's been disinvited from three family BBQs, five church functions and her sister-in -law called her and chewed her a*** like a pitbull with a bone."

After sharing his story on social media, most users agreed his grandmother "got what she deserved" by sharing such personal information to others.

One user said: "Amazing! I bet you weren't the first one or even the only one she did this too."

Another user added: "Karma strikes. I’d put your grandma on an information diet from now on, you are not a content creator for her gossip."

A third user said: "I’m sorry to hear you’re having some medical issues and hope you’re doing OK. Nice revenge on grandma! I can’t believe she’s so desperate for gossip."

One more user added: "Unfortunately, people don't grow wise and kind from age."
