A British woman who moved to the US with the aim of getting over her childhood sweetheart revealed her plan didn't work, after the pair reunited 24 years later and got married.

Amanda Piper split from her childhood sweetheart, Jonathan, when she was 18, after two years of dating.

The pair had grown up together with Jonathan, now 52, and his family having lived next door to Amanda’s grandparents in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire.
