For five years love rat John Hare convinced her he was a secret agent who needed a gun with him at all times.

But in reality the manipulative liar was a middle-aged married farmer who invented a fantasy lifestyle to conceal his adultery.

Hare duped his new lover into believing they had a future together, after telling he had separated from his wife and was working for the Secret Service.
