The Mustang lineup has never been short of variants and special editions, but never before has it featured so many models with six-figure price tags. Sure, everything is getting more expensive, but Ford, and more specifically Ford Racing, clearly have something to prove with the performance of this seventh-generation 'Stang.
The insane GTD and its 6:40 Nürburgring lap time showed what could be done with the platform, but only if you were willing to cut the middle out, shove the engine back, weld in a transaxle, and then affix a trick hydraulic suspension that can drop on command. It's easy to say that's hardly a Mustang at all.
