A woman has showed off her impressive weight loss after shedding two stone - while still sipping on wine and crisps.
Emma Hamshaw says she was still able to enjoy her favourite foods after losing the weight in just six months, and has now set up her own weight loss group to help others do the same.
Emma, from Attleborough, Norfolk, had struggled for years with her weight following the birth of her fourth child, Norfolk Live reports.
"I felt embarrassed, judged, sad and even alone and I knew I needed some help.
"It was nerve wrecking going to a group but joining my local Slimming World group but as soon as I walked in I was welcomed.
"I got so much support and immediately felt it was a safe space."
"Each week in group, members share their struggles and triumphs, exchange ideas, and motivate each other to reach their goals and I feel like I have made lasting changes in my life," she added.
Having a young family, Emma said it was important to her to eat normal everyday foods.
"With a few changes I have still been able to eat my favourites like spaghetti Bolognese, roast dinner and I love a jacket potato too!
"I still enjoy my glass of wine or a packet of crisps but I’ve learnt to fit them in".
With the support of her group and consultant Emma has lost two stone in six months and is excited to be taking on a new challenge.
Emma said Slimming World members are encouraged to develop a healthy relationship with food, promoting balance and moderation.
The programme, she said, was about adopting a lifestyle that will help you maintain a healthy weight in the long run, as well as following a unique physical activity programme to become more active at their pace and doing things they love too.
Emma said: "The journey was not always easy, but the benefits of leading a healthier lifestyle have been more than worth it.
"Not only do I feel more confident in my appearance, but I also have more energy to tackle the day's challenges.
"I can’t wait to support other people to achieve their dream weight.
"I want to be there with them, supporting them through the highs and lows.
"Laughing with them and celebrating every success along the way."
