When temperatures suddenly plummeted this month, I suspect most of us started desperately wondering how we could best layer up our clothes better to beat the chill. And many will have turned to good old thermals to try and give a bit of extra body warmth.
With the soaring cost of energy continuing to worry householders, many are also trying to think of alternatives to having the heating pumping out throughout the day. Experts, like Martin Lewis on his MSE site, have suggested "heat the human, not the home" as a way to try and keep costs down while keeping warm.
One way of doing this is, indeed, layering up with the right clothing. But can any amount of thermal wear really stop you needing your heating on?
