I don't mind going bold for web shows: Mohit Parmar

Coming from a small town in Himachal Pradesh, with no exposure in acting, actor Mohit Parmar Of Pandya Store fame says it was difficult to carve his way into acting. "Mujhe bachpan se hi acting ka keeda tha. I have been performing at Ram Leela since I was very young and I still have those memories fresh on my mind. However, even though I was always inclined towards acting and wanted to be an actor, I completed my studies and became a mechanical engineer. My parents had strictly told me to complete my graduation or else they will not allow me to pursue my career in acting. Since there was no exposure in Pamalpur related to acting as theatre is not at all active in my region, I had no knowledge of how to get into this field of entertainment," he says.

The actor adds, "I finally got to know about an acting workshop in Solan and the moment the month-long acting workshop concluded, I got to work on a feature film in Solan titled Nat Dhwaj, which never got released, unfortunately. But I was really optimistic in life and didn't lose hope. Soon I was offered a short film in Shimla which won several awards. I then came to Mumbai with a friend of mine. I gave several auditions and finally got Pandya Store and life has changed ever since. The show has actually made me a household name and I am loving all the love and appreciation I am getting from my fans."
