'I don't believe in toilet paper - my family use a reusable cloth instead'

A woman has sparked a debate after admitting she does not use toilet paper - instead opting to use a reusable cloth. Mum-of-two Kara, who is known as @vibingranolamom on TikTok, has taken to social media to share her bathroom set up to confused viewers.

She explained how she switched to reusable cloth alongside her bidet about a year ago - preferring it to traditional toilet paper. In one of her latest videos, she said: "I want to show you guys what our setup looks like. So this is our bathroom setup. As you can see, it doesn't look much different than a normal bathroom.

"And we do have toilet paper for guests, and sometimes we use it too. Just depends on the day."

She keeps her reusable cloths in a storage box above the toilet - and cleans them on their own in her washing machine when soiled.

She said: “So this is where we keep our cloth toilet paper. They are just ones we bought on Amazon, and they work really well. They're all still white.

"So basically, we have a sprayer. You can spray the pee off you. And we also have a bidet as well.

"All you do is you go pee or poop, you spray using the bidet or sprayer, then you just wipe with one of these.

"Then you throw them. We have this wet bag right beside our toilet that you put the used rags in. We wash them separately from our laundry and hot water. That's it."

However, not everybody agrees with her "unique" take on toilet paper, with some users condemning it as "unhygienic" and "disgusting".

Commenting on her video, one user said: "Water doesn’t clean everything, there’s still left over urine or faeces on that cloth. Maybe not a lot but there still is some."

Another user added: "A bidet is cleaner than wiping with dry paper. How are people not understanding that?"

A third user said: "Some things are just not meant to be reusable."

One more user added: "People need to learn how to use the bidet. It’s life changing."
