I deserved to play in the Asian Games: Diksha Dagar

NEW DELHI: Diksha Dagar is disappointed and hurt that she is not representing India at the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou. The 22-yearold golfer, who is in red-hot form in the last 5-6 months having notched up seven top-10 finishes on the Ladies European Tour, including a title triumph at the Czech Open, finished fifth in the trial event for the Asian Games held back in April and could not make the cut.

However, since then, the dramatic upsurge in her form has made Diksha probably the top Indian woman golfer at the moment. The girl from Jhajjar, Haryana , is now third in the LET Order of Merit. With four events to go in the 2023 calendar, she even has a chance to achieve something unprecedented in Indian golf - the Order of Merit crown in Europe.
