A host of new Pokemon card tins are on the way, but the community is already doubting that they'll be able to find them on shelves come release day.
Following hot on the heels of the new Chaos Rising set (which is due out in May), two new Pokemon card products are being lined up for June 2026: a Lumiose City Mini Tin collection alongside a "Mega Moonlight Tin" that features either Mega Gengar ex or Mega Clefable ex. So far, so predictable for one of the best card games. But as many fans are pointing out, the likelihood of actually getting those tins is… well, it's not great. As Momo1jiri notes on reddit, "I can't wait to not be able to get my hand[s] on any!" Considering the state of the market right now, they're probably right. Finding modern cards out there in the wild at a reasonable price is fiendishly tricky, not unlike stumbling upon a rare shiny Pokémon.

None of these items are available for pre-order yet, at least not that I've been able to find... but they should start appearing soon. I'd go straight to Miniature Market in the US, or to Amazon in the UK. Both have been very reliable for new stock.
It's a shame, because those tins look like they'd be great additions to a collection. Here's what they apparently include:
Lumiose City Mini Tin Collection ($9.99)
- x2 booster packs
- x1 sticker sheets
- x1 art card
- x1 code card for Pokemon TCG Live
Mega Moonlight Tin ($21.99)
- x1 foil promo card with Mega Gengar ex or Mega Clefable ex
- x4 booster packs
- x1 code card for Pokemon TCG Live
As someone that's been tracking Pokemon stock for a while now, I have my doubts that we'll see either of those items anywhere near that price come June. A combination of demand and resellers scooping up all the stock they can jettisons costs skyward, meaning fans end up having to pay double, triple, or more of the MSRP.
So, will things get better? With any luck, yes – but not for some time. The Pokemon Company is in the process of acquiring a US trading card game distributor, so our fortunes could be about to change. Cross your fingers and toes, everyone.
