How far would you go to enjoy a good night's sleep? For one devoted dreamer who would probably stretch further than most, the answer is six miles.
A Glastonbury-goer wowed fellow revellers after installing a double bed at the famous campsite. Not one to pack light, the music lover hurled the wooden bed frame to the festival over a series of trips.
The process, which involved five trips back and forth between the man's car and the camp, totalled six miles. He even brought a mattress, duvet and pillows. "Five trips from car to campsite. Six miles walked in the blazing sun, but oh my God it was worth it," said the unnamed camper.
He also packed beer, so here's hoping he had a can waiting for him after completing the setup. Not everyone was so impressed by his choice of beverage, though, even if his efforts were lauded online.
"All that effort and your beer of choice is Carling and Bud Light," wrote one person. But another said: "What a setup. The cocktails on the end of the bed are a great touch."
Someone else put: "If that's true then that is incredible. Please remember to take it all home and leave no trace."
A second quipped: "This might possibly be the most outlandish thing I've seen in a tent in Glastonbury. An actual bed. Great work."
The camper is not the first to amuse social media with their preparation ahead of the festival. Another glamorous attendee has been dubbed an "icon" after turning up to the festival with her hair in rollers, keen to protect her "curly blow."
Her BBC interview went viral, as viewers loved the attendee's enthusiasm despite one memorable mid-interview blunder. One viewer praised: "She will have unreal hair all weekend, go girl." On TikTok, a different fan said: "Bless her. She's excited."
