Nottingham Forest defender Renan Lodi has revealed he spoke to head coach Steve Cooper about why Danilo and Gustavo Scarpa got limited game time after joining the Reds.
Scarpa has made four Premier League appearances since joining the club in January, while Danilo has featured three times in the top flight. Among those wondering why the players have not played more games in that time is their countryman Renan Lodi.
Lodi, on loan from Atletico Madrid until the end of the season, was not backwards in coming forwards by asking Steve Cooper why his fellow Brazilians were not seeing more pitch time with the Reds. He got a straightforward answer, too, and it's one that makes sense for both players after arriving in England.

"I went to talk to the coach about that too. I asked why Danilo and Scarpa weren’t getting opportunities, and it was more a matter of adaptation," Lodi told ESPN Brasil.
"What he gave me, I passed on to them too. But Scarpa is training well, he has a good head. It’s more a matter of adaptation.
"The pair arrived in January and had little time to work and show their football. It was all crazy. It was the same for me too. It’s about having a good head, because soon they will be helping us here."
