HYDERABAD: The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on Tuesday issued notification restricting human hair export in raw form. This is expected to curb the under-invoicing of the product and smuggling via Myanmar to China.
TOI had published a series of reports on human hair smuggling to China and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had earlier conducted searches following TOI expose and booked cases against exporters involved in smuggling.
