Hyde Park Picture House hiring staff for early 2023 reopening after major refurbishment

Film lovers in Leeds can rejoice at the fact the historic independent cinema Hyde Park Picture House is finally hiring staff after being closed for a major refurbishment.

Builders are now in the latter stages of the multi-million pound 'Picture House Project', which will completely transform the 106-year-old arthouse cinema on Brudenell Road. Plans include a new 52-seat basement screen, a café area, vital restoration work and new accessible features.

Cinema bosses say they expect the cinema to reopen early next year and have now opened applications for multiple roles across the operation. The cinema has been shut ever since March 2020 due to the pandemic and construction began in Spring 2021.
