The latest data from the National Hurricane Center indicates that Hurricane Milton is less than an hour away from making landfall along the coast of west-central Florida. The hurricane is currently centered 20 miles southwest of Sarasota, Florida, and is moving east-northeast at a speed of 15 mph.

Milton remains a strong Category 3 hurricane with sustained winds of 120 mph and higher gusts. The National Hurricane Center has issued warnings of life-threatening storm surge, damaging winds, and flooding rains across portions of central and southwestern Florida.
