Tropical Storm Edouard is approaching the northwestern Gulf Coast with hurricane watches and storm surge warnings in effect, as Texas and Louisiana prepare for heavy rain, flash flooding and coastal inundation.
The National Hurricane Center said significant strengthening is forecast and Edouard could approach hurricane strength before reaching the coast later Tuesday, with the most dangerous impacts expected to be life‑threatening storm surge and flash flooding.
