Hungover Amanda Holden snuck onto Corrie set with famous actor after being sick

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has more skills under her belt than you might initially think - other than being a spectacular celebrity.

At a time when she was breaking into the industry, Amanda, now 51, spent her time living on the edge and even broke onto television sets.

Life on Mars star Philip Glenister recalled the time when him and Amanda - who was 22 at the time - faced the consequences after spending a night drinking in Manchester.

The duo worked together on the 1990s show In Suspicious Circumstances - where Amanda got her first TV acting break.

In 2016, he recalled how he and the now mum-of-two crept onto the set of fan favourite soap Coronation Street.

In June 2016, Philip recalled how he and Amanda once crept onto the popular set after spending the night drinking - and ultimately faced the consequences the following day.

Recalling what happened, Philip told the People: “She was so hungover that day.

“The night before we had been out in Manchester, and she got s**tfaced and threw up.

“She won’t mind me saying, I’m sure.

“Hangovers weren’t as bad back then, because we were so young - I was 30 and she was 22.

“She’s very sweet and I remember we sneaked onto the set of Coronation Street and had a look round.”

A few years later, Amanda and Philip worked on ITV series The Hunt where Amanda played Sarah Campbell and Philip starred as Rob Campbell.

Producer Margaret Mitchell described the series: "The Hunt is a passionate love story about a member of the landed gentry who only finds true happiness after his dramatic fall from grace."

Amanda played Sarah - a young wife who leaves London to make a new start in the country with her husband, rock concert promoter Rob.

Television soaps have always had a special place in Amanda's heart, especially Corrie, after admitting that she'd love to secure a role on the ITV show.

In 2009, she told PA that she would love a stint in the Weatherfield soap.

"What I'd like to do is go into Coronation Street . I love Corrie and that's kind of more iconic. I'd go into that for a bit," she continued.

Amanda has starred in several soaps, including Aussie soap Neighbours (Fremantle)

She added: "I'd love to go into it as some kind of snooty southern bitch. Maybe go and buy The Kabin from under Rita's nose and turn it into a beauty salon or something horrendous that they hate, so they oust me and I go back to London."

Her love for the series most likely stems from her ex-marriage to former Corrie star Les Dennis when she was just 22 year's old.

The actor played the role of Michael Rodwell between 2014-2016 in the fan favourite series.

The former couple - who had an 18-year age gap - met while performing in The Sound of Music in 1993.

The actress' marriage to the well-loved television presenter appeared to be doomed from the start as she ended up having an affair with Men Behaving Badly's Neil Morrissey.

Amanda's unfaithfulness to comedian Les is ultimately what ended their romance.

In 2000, Amanda cheated on Les with Neil, while starring in Happy Birthday Shakespeare on BBC.

After a string of meetings with the Line of Duty actor, they called it quits in 2002.

Amanda has always spoken highly of Les and revealed that it was the "worst time of her life".

She told Daily Mail: "I brought it on myself, I appreciate that, but nothing will ever be as bad again. It was a very dark time. It got to the point where I felt I could hardly breathe.

"Les proved to be my saviour. Ironically. So the person I'd hurt the most in the world was the one who was there for me."
